Description
The Workshop is organised by the SafeHabitus project in partnership with the European Economic and Social Committee. The event will examine how climate change is affecting occupational health and safety in agriculture, as well as its broader effects on employment, income, and working conditions.
The workshop aims to bring together policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, discuss current challenges, and support the development of better-informed policies for the agricultural sector. It will also present European and international examples of practical responses to climate-related risks.
The programme is built around three strands: the research and evidence base, good practices and practical responses, and EU-level policy dialogue. Overall, the event seeks to promote collaboration and identify solutions that improve working conditions, resilience, health, and safety for farmers and agricultural workers across Europe.
Pierre Berastegui, representing EU-OSHA, will participate in the workshop: How climate change is changing the way we work - Overview of OSH existing mechanism at EU and international level.
