Description
An activity aimed at educators, occupational safety and health (OSH) experts and anyone interested in the topic is being organised by our Belgian focal point SPF Emploi, Travail et Concertation Sociale – FOD Werkgelegenheid, Arbeid en Sociaal Overleg.
During the event, the Healthy Workplaces Film Award-winner Favoriten, directed by Ruth Beckermann, is screened. It portrays a multicultural primary school in Vienna and the challenges faced by its pupils and teacher, including limited resources and staff shortages.
Filmed over three years, the documentary also addresses themes such as diversity and recent migration, showing how learning, play and social interaction can help overcome barriers and build understanding.
The screening is followed by a debate on the topic, underlining the contribution of education in shaping an inclusive and fair future, while also emphasising the importance of educators’ safety and health.
The same event takes place in Dutch on 10 October.
