This is the second edition of the guide to the application of the revised Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC).
Directive 2006/42/EC aims the harmonisation of the health and safety requirements concerning machinery while ensuring the free circulation thereof on the EU market. The clarification of the concepts and requirements facilitates the uniform interpretation and application of the text. The Guide cites and then explains every paragraph one by one. Information on related EU legislation is also provided. The target group is wide: machinery manufacturers, importers, distributors, Notified Bodies, standardisers, occupational health and safety and consumer protection agencies, national officials and authorities.
The text, which is over 400 pages, was closed in June 2010.
