Directive 2000/39/EC - indicative occupational exposure limit values

The Directive establishes a first list of indicative occupational exposure limit values.

Directive 2000/39/EC of 8 June 2000 establishing a first list of indicative occupational exposure limit values in implementation of Council Directive 98/24/EC on the protection of the health and safety of workers from the risks related to chemical agents at work is based on Council Directive 98/24/EC on the protection of the health and safety of workers from the risks related to chemical agents at work.

Member States shall establish national occupational exposure limit values for the chemical agents listed in the Annex, taking into account the Community values.

  • The Directive establishes occupational exposure limit values for a reference period of eight-hours time weighted average and also for a short term period of 15 minutes for the following 60 chemical agents:
