Smart digital systems are in the spotlight as the final priority area of the ‘Safe and healthy workplaces in the digital age’ campaign. EU-OSHA has published a new info sheet and a presentation analysing the opportunities and risks that they bring to occupational safety and health.

These systems, such as smart apps and wearable devices, monitor risks in real time and proactively tackle safety at work. However, they can also pose challenges related to data privacy, psychosocial health and overreliance on technology.
