Focusing on musculoskeletal disorders among children and young people
Did you know that many musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) begin in childhood? Addressing the causes as well as prevention measures from an early age is key. A new EU-OSHA report explains risk factors and stresses the importance of good musculoskeletal health as an integral part of education.
With the prevalence of MSDs already at 30% in schoolchildren and young people, and at 34% in apprentices and young workers or students, education is key. The aim is to help increase knowledge, sensitivity and awareness regarding musculoskeletal discomfort and pain in children and young people.
