On 17-18 September 2014 the conference “Investing in OSH – how benefits beat the costs” was organised by the Focal Points of the BENELUX countries in close cooperation with the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, EU-OSHA and TNO. The afternoon of the 17th focussed on investing in OSH at company level. Several business cases were presented and discussed in detail, and the drivers and constraints for employers to invest in OSH were considered. The following morning focussed on developments at sector, national and European level. This shed light on various economic incentive schemes which reward employers’ actions with regard to OSH. The latest examples, good practices and success factors and pitfalls were shared.
