Leadership and safety culture at Spie Belgium

Total Refinery Antwerp contracted temporary trade association SPIE Belgium to execute mechanical and piping maintenance work within a multi-annual outsourcing contract that includes both preventive and remedial interventions. In the initial phase of the contract it was soon obvious that this kind of cooperation would require an alignment of business and safety culture between the two partners, since they were fairly different.
