Implementing a chemical and hazardous waste management system in higher education and research

This case study of a university waste management programme in Poland shows how universities can work together to solve problems related to the management and disposal of hazardous chemicals. In the example studied, a university chemistry department in Gdańsk introduced a new system to manage, store and dispose of chemical waste generated by the university. This is part of a wider programme across Poland that has been implemented in other universities.
