Artificial Intelligence's (AI) potential to reshape work organisation and automate repetitive, hazardous tasks was a key focus in a recent interview with Maurizio Curtarelli, featured on the blog Reshaping Work

Topics discussed included the implications of AI for occupational safety and health (OSH) to enhance workers’ well-being and prevent risks, and the new challenges and opportunities for OSH.

Curtarelli highlighted opportunities as the optimisation of work organisation and workers’ workload, the delegation of repetitive and hazardous tasks to machines, as well as challenges as the loss of autonomy and the work intensification.
