These guidelines have been drawn up by the European education sector social partners —the European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE) and the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE)— and build on activities carried out as part of the project "Social Partners Promoting Decent Workplaces in the Education Sector for a Healthier Working Life".
The recommendations are designed for authorities, employers and trade unions in Europe’s education sector, to help them create high-quality working conditions, with the ultimate goal of providing first-rate education.
Three main levels are covered (European, national and education institution), with specific actions suggested for each.
