On 28 April 2025, within the scope of the EC funded IPA Action, EU-OSHA had the opportunity to support the Ministry of Labour Employment and Social Dialogue of Montenegro in raising awareness on the topic of OSH risks related to digitalisation. The Ministry organised the conference "Occupational Health and Safety in the Digital Age" in the occasion of the World OSH Day.

The event was opened by the interventions of three line-Ministers: Ms Naida Nišić, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue, Mr Vojislav Šimun, Minister of Health and Mr Marash Dukaj, Minister of Public Administration, who all underlined the benefits of technology in the digital era but also the importance not to underestimate the related OSH risks and therefore the necessity to enhance a thorough OSH risks prevention culture.

Representatives of Social Partners (Mr Slobodan Mikavica from the Union of Employers, Ms Ivana Mihajilović from the Union of Free Trade Unions and Mr Vladimir Krsmanović from the Confederation of Trade Unions) confirmed their good dialogue with policy makers, the possibility to participate in steering OSH at national level as well as their mutual cooperation and information exchange.

Michele Dinelli, EU-OSHA presented the ongoing Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2023-2025 "Healthy and Safe Workplace in the Digital Age" underlining the publicly available research results, publications, data and statistics regarding four of the five Priority Areas, already published on the EU-OSHA website.

Finally, a panel represented by four OSH key actors, i.e., Ms Danijela Šuković, from the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue, Mr Zlatko Popović, Chief Labour inspector, Ms Sanja Ražnatović, from the State Prosecutor office, and Ms Sanja Dujović, OSH expert of the national Court, provided important information and OSH practices regarding prevention of serious, collective and fatal injuries at work and the procedures in place when serious, collective and fatal injuries occur at work.

The audience was represented by policy makers, social partners, NGOs and other OSH stakeholders.
