crowdwork
outsourcing tasks to a large pool of workers, through online platforms
In addition to the casual and unstable nature of the work, crowdwork as well as other work in the “on-demand economy” is often portrayed as additional income for secondary earners, and thus, not real work, or work that merits traditional labour protections.
