Le Smictom d’Alsace Centrale, qui gère la collecte et le traitement des ordures ménagères de 90 communes, mène une réflexion continue sur l’amélioration des conditions de travail. Les évolutions techniques et organisationnelles des collectes, des déchèteries et de son centre de tri visent notamment à épargner le dos des agents de l’établissement. Les opérations réalisées au sein du Smictom vont de la dépose par les particuliers de leurs encombrants à la déchèterie jusqu’aux opérations de tri des matières recyclables, en passant par la collecte des ordures ménagères. Elles ont toutes bénéficié de mesures permettant de lutter contre les lombalgies.

Description
The case study presents the Smictom in Alsace, which manages the collection and treatment of household waste in 90 municipalities. This establishment is constantly examining how to improve working conditions. The technical and organizational changes in collections, waste collection centers and its sorting center are aimed in particular at sparing the backs of staff in the establishment. The operations carried out within Smictom range from the removal by individuals of their bulky items at the recycling center to sorting operations for recyclable materials, including the collection of household waste. They have all benefited from measures to combat low back pain.
