Description

This booklet gives information about physical activity and preventing sedentary behaviour in the work environment. It contains information about the health effects as well as practical tips in order to stay physically active during work.

 

Telesna nedejavnost je četrti glavni dejavnik tveganja za splošno umrljivost (6 % smrti) in je odgovorna za približno 3,2 milijona smrti letno. Vpliva tudi na nastanek drugih dejavnikov tveganja za zdravje (povišan krvni tlak in/ali krvni sladkor, zdravju škodljive vrednosti maščob v krvi, povečana telesna masa, zmanjšana dihalna sposobnost, oslabelost delovanja srca in ožilja, mišična oslabelost, zmanjšana funkcionalnost telesa itd.) in na razvoj številnih kroničnih nenalezljivih bolezni (bolezni srca in ožilja, možganska kap, sladkorna bolezen tipa 2, debelost, depresija, nekatere vrste raka, bolezni gibal itd.).
