Keywords:

The broad range of activities in the transportation and storage sector poses different types of risks for the workforce, requiring targeted occupational health and safety (OSH) approaches.

This report offers insights on OSH management practices in the European sector’s workplaces, by looking into the findings across the three survey waves and complementing them with interviews with sector representatives. It identifies some of the main factors influencing these practices, for example, establishment size and management commitment, as well as the main occupational risk factors and health problems of its workforce.

Sector-specific policy pointers are presented regarding the main OSH risks and health outcomes as well as training and worker participation.
