SPANISH NETWORK OF HEALTHY UNIVERSITIES

In 1986, the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion set out the notion of 'Creating supportive environments for health' as one of its five priority action areas. The Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs and the Conferencia de Rectores de las Universidades Españolas (CRUE—Conference of Vice-Chancellors of Spanish Universities) created the network of Healthy Universities in 2008 and asked all interested universities to join.
