Keywords:As part of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work’s project ‘Review of research, policy and practice on prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders’, the project team carried out an extensive analysis of policies on preventing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) carried out in a number of countries. The aim was to gain a better understanding of the circumstances under which strategies and actions to address this very common work-related health problem are most effective.
The report describes 25 policy-level initiatives and includes an in-depth analysis of six countries with a variety of strategic approaches to preventing MSDs. The results include data and evaluation gaps identified and success factors that emerged from the analysis.
