Digital platform work and occupational safety and health: a policy brief

This policy brief identifies the main characteristics of home-based teleworkers and companies with teleworking in place, and looks at some of the most common prevention measures being implemented to counteract the associated physical and psychosocial risks to worker health and well-being. The policy brief is based on data from EU-OSHA’s ESENER survey, the European Union Labour Force Survey and the Eurofound’s European Working Conditions Survey 2015.

The latest, pre-pandemic survey data are analysed to provide facts and figures valuable to those responsible for planning and implementing teleworking agreements post pandemic, with a particular focus on preventing musculoskeletal disorders.
