Better Schools by Promoting Musculoskeletal Health


Involving schools in occupational safety and health issues can help prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Integrating safety and health in education is essential in developing a culture of prevention for students.

This report examines how schools can contribute to early, long-term prevention and offers various perspectives of safety and health. It gives examples of successful integration in Europe and outlines recommendations to design and implement measures. Lastly, it presents a strategic approach for systematically promoting exercise and preventing MSDs in schools.
