Description

Our Austrian focal point, Bundesministerium Arbeit, Soziales, Gesundheit, Pflege und Konsumentenschutz, is hosting a screening of the documentary ‘Favoriten’, winner of the 2024 Healthy Workplaces Film Award.

The film follows a primary school class in Vienna’s 10th district over three years, showing how diversity, language barriers and resource challenges shape school life, while highlighting empathy and community and offering a reflection on the human side of work.

After the screening, a discussion brings together the director of the film Ruth Beckermann and educators, occupational safety and health experts and policymakers to exchange perspectives on how schools can create healthier and more inclusive environments for both teachers and students.
