The consolidation and coordination of national strategies is the first of seven key strategic objectives contained in the EU Strategic Framework on Health and Safety at Work 2014 – 2020. In this context, the European Commission invited Member States to review their national strategies in close consultation with relevant stakeholders including social partners.
With the help of “contact points for national strategies”, created under the strategic framework, EU OSHA has collected information and compiled a report on national strategies. This report currently includes the national OSH strategies of 22 Member States: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. New national OSH strategies will be included into this report on an ongoing basis.
