The DocLisboa International Film Festival, which was held this year between 21 October and 30 October in Lisbon, Portugal, began hosting the HWFA in 2020. Now in its 19th year, the festival celebrates the documentary genre’s large diversity and vitality, and promotes new ways of thinking, of seeing the world and communicating. The festival provides a space for discussion on important subjects, such as working conditions, human rights and social issues. DocLisboa is one of the world’s leading documentary film festivals and the only one entirely dedicated to documentaries in Portugal.
