stress prevention
wide spectrum of techniques and psychotherapies aimed at controlling a person's level of stress, especially chronic stress, usually for the purpose of improving everyday functioning
Taris et al. (2010) found that sectors and enterprises that have a history of stress prevention programmes, who have thus already taken measures in the past to manage risks, are less active in taking measures to reduce PSRs (because they already have good systems in place to deal with these issues) or perceive these risks as less of a problem than do sectors and enterprises that do not have a history of stress prevention programmes.
