Smart digital monitoring systems for occupational safety and health: optimising the uptake


The emergence of technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, wearables, and big data applications, among others, and their increasing uptake in the workplace are changing the landscape of OSH monitoring. 

The overall success of new OSH monitoring systems will rely on the effective communication of available research and data, sustained efforts towards standardisation across the EU and inclusive implementation processes. Worker privacy and data protection are key priorities in the broader discussions on ensuring OSH safety at the national and EU levels.
