Description

The training package is designed to help those running and working in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as those who work with or provide services to SMEs. It helps users to work step by step through the logistics of a risk assessment. The training package consists of three modules. The main module is a self-help tool that covers the five steps of carrying out a risk assessment. The second module outlines a trainer’s toolkit, which was developed to support risk assessment training courses and to help trainers to plan risk assessment programmes. The third module gives examples of risk assessments for selected occupational sectors in which SMEs are prevalent. The examples relate to the following industries: brick layers (construction), call centres, hairdressing, motor vehicle repair and office cleaning.
