Delivery services have grown in recent years driven by the booming globalisation of the economy and the emergence of e-commerce and online marketplaces.

Delivery workers face many safety and health challenges posed by ergonomic risks while operating vehicles and handling parcels. They may be sitting down for extended periods in static and awkward postures, and may be exposed to vibration and noise, which can result in musculoskeletal disorders, heart problems, fatigue and diabetes. They additionally have to deal with sometimes difficult customers, high workload and other risks.

The Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) platform can be the perfect risk management assistant for micro- and small enterprises of this sector.

France* and Bulgaria* have already released tailored OiRA tools, with Greece and Hungary having their tools under development.
