Committee on Employment and Social Affairs Hearing - New OSH Strategic Framework 2021-2027

The Committee of Employment and Social Affairs is holding a hearing on the Future Strategic Framework on Safety and Health at work (2021-2027), asbestos included. The previous EU Strategic Framework on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) expired at the end of 2020 and the European Commission announced a new framework to maintain and improve high OSH standards for workers across the Union by 2021.

The meeting's objective is to contribute to the new OSH strategic framework from the European Parliament's side based on the information gathered from experts and stakeholders at the hearing.

This hearing brings together renowned OSH experts and representatives from the EU Institutions like Nicolas Schmit, Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, and Christa Sedlatschek, EU-OSHA's Executive Director.

The event is held online on 18 March.
