SYMPOSIUM - Prevention, now more than ever: Social Europe’s New Framework for Safer and Healthier Work
The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) is organising a virtual symposium in Bilbao on 5 July 2021 to discuss the new EU Strategic Framework on Health and Safety at Work 2021-2027. This new framework will touch on major issues about the future in one of the key areas of Europe’s Social Pillar and will address relevant questions about the prevention of accidents and illnesses in the workplace, future health crises, the green, digital and demographic transitions at work, and the role of EU-OSHA in supporting Member States and Social Partners in this new landscape.
The event will start with an opening session, featuring EU Commissioner Nicolas Schmit, Professor Sir Michael Marmot and EU-OSHA Executive Director Christa Sedlatschek, followed by an interactive panel discussion in which the audience will be encouraged to engage and ask questions. This panel discussion will include representatives from the Slovenian EU Council Presidency, the European Parliament, trade unions and employers, the European Commission and EU-OSHA.
The symposium will be held online and is open to the general public.
Closer to the event a link and instructions on how to connect will be provided.
