Musculoskeletal disorders: Early intervention in the workplace
Musculoskeletal disorders are one of the most important causes of work absence (50 %), and early retirement in Europe. Nonetheless, the sooner a musculoskeletal problem is managed, the less likely it is that it will lead to long-term work loss. Therefore, early intervention needs to be a more prominent feature of sustainable healthcare.
A new article looks at the necessary pre-requisites for early intervention in the workplace and presents success cases of healthcare interventions and good practice examples.
