A decade of cancer research at the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health

Over the last years, investigators at the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) have published over 50 epidemiologic studies on workplace-related cancer.

The role of NIOSH in occupational cancer research has helped elucidate the burden of cancer worldwide and improving our understanding of the complex role of work-related factors in the development of cancer. NIOSH has evaluated a wide range of potentially carcinogenic agents, such as particulates, metals, pesticides or formaldehyde.
