Workers working with urethane, epoxy, acrylates and liquid components of solid plastic materials must be aware of the health hazards associated with handling those substances. Before curing, these substances can be the source of health hazards. Cured coatings generally become much less toxic polymers. However, the sawdust of newly cured plastics can also pose health hazards. This leaflet summarises the guidelines for working with epoxy, urethane, acrylate and reinforced plastic chemicals. It provides information about the adverse health effects resulting from exposure to adhesives.
