Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic disease that may affect the lives of individual people in many ways. One of the most important outcomes may be work disability. Many people with rheumatism stop working in the first year of their illness and around 20 percent after three years. This shows a need for action! Motivation, an open-minded environment and support from collegues and employers can help people with rheumatoid diseases to stay on the job.
