Descrizione

Teleworking has introduced new risks to the working environment, most notably the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) from temporary workstations that are not ergonomic. In order to control the risk of MSDs, workers and employers alike need to be fully aware of what MSDs are, how they’re caused and how they can be prevented.

To introduce EU-OSHA’s Healthy Workplaces ‘Lighten the Load’ campaign, the Bulgarian focal point is organising an event on 29 October. Taking place both at Trakia Conference Centre in Sofia and online, the event addresses the aims and objectives of the European campaign while at the same time sharing tips and good practices for keeping workers safe and healthy during the pandemic. Speakers discuss the problems and risks associated with static working postures, and how workplaces can be adapted to limit the spread of Covid-19. Speakers also examine how to create a balance between workers’ personal and professional lives, ensuring good levels of mental health while remote working.

The event is of interest to representatives of trade unions, safety and health specialists, members of OSH clubs in Bulgaria, and anyone concerned by the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and Covid-19 on the workforce.
