This case study looks at how participatory workshops for childcare workers can help them to identify, analyse and find solutions to MSD-related risks. Occupational safety and health advisors and a research team in Denmark co-developed a participatory ergonomics intervention project.

The initiative National Strategy for the Work Environment was introduced in 2011 to ensure a safe, secure and healthy work environment in Denmark. The National Working Environment Authority is responsible for the initiative. The strategy was further extended and improved in 2015.
