Serbia hosts an OSH conference in Dual Education with the support of EU-OSHA

In the scope of  the European Week for Safety and Health at Work, a conference on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in Dual Education* was held in Belgrade, Serbia on 25 October 2017. The event was hosted by the Serbian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and supported by EU-OSHA.

Minister Zoran Djordjevic opened the conference and emphasized the importance of ensuring safety and protection to health and lives of all the students participating in dual education system. EU-OSHA presented the Whole school approach of Mainstreaming OSH into education while experts from AUVA and CIOP-PIB shared good practices from Austria and Poland.

160 participants attended the event including representatives of state administration, social partners, academics and non-governmental sector.

*dual education is a system combining vocational education and apprenticeship
