Opis

The slide show explains the various potentially critical activities and situations where hazardous chemicals are used in a dairy factory. This includes storage, transport and various applications of e.g. gases or disinfectants. It is explained how accidents and health damage of workers can be prevented.

The slides provided as pdf document are part of the project 'Chemicals at the ideal dairy'. The topics and advice were based on information about chemical accidents in the dairy industry. The Dairy Industry’s Work Environment Council -Mejeriindustriens Arbejdsmiljøudvalg (MIA) set up a working group of company representatives to develop the specific advice on storage and handling, the use of protective equipment, repair and maintenance, ventilation, labelling and packaging, safety data sheets, instruction and supervision, and waste and disposal. The presentation and a pertaining poster hence present best practice examples

The presentation is intended for use in the management of occupational safety and health and in MIA's work environment education.

The pdf is interactive and allows the user to jump directly to the area of interest.
