Description

This e-fact is intended for employers. It describes the health and economic aspects of environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) exposure, as well as providing advice on creating smoke-free workplaces and on how to help workers quit smoking. ETS exposure — also known as second-hand smoke exposure — is a significant cause of mortality, morbidity and disability in the EU. Occupational ETS exposure refers to exposure to tobacco smoke produced by others in the workplace.
