Description

This short document explains basic measures to protect oneself from exposure to pesticides during their use and the employers obligations.
At present, a wide range of plant protection products are used in agriculture: herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, zoocides, acaricides, etc., commonly referred to as pesticides and designed to fight unwanted organisms. Plant protection products pose the greatest risk to the health of people who are in direct contact with them during work. When preparing or spraying a pesticide solution, the chemical product may enter the skin or mouth, and may cause inhalation of vapors, gases, fumes or aerosols.
