A best safety - Practice training center

For several years, GSK Biologicals has had to integrate a growing number of newly hired people in order to meet the growing demand for existing vaccines and to support the development of new vaccines from its R&D portfolio.

It was important to train all these new employees to adopt safe working methods. But based on the safety figures it seemed that the quality of the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) training programs organized on the Belgian sites should be enhanced. After all, most accidents happened due to non-compliance with the safety procedures. This was the result of insufficient practical experience and awareness of the consequences of non-compliance.
