The International Labour Congress, taking place on 13-14 November in Madrid, aims to develop specific proposals for coordinated transnational action to promote labour rights.
It brings together labour ministers of countries such as Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Senegal, South Africa, Honduras and Colombia, and EU officials, including EU-OSHA's Executive Director William Cockburn. The Congress addresses issues affecting work in the 21st century such as gender equality in the workplace, climate change and digitalisation. The event prepares a detailed action plan for the future, reinforces solidarity and secures universal rights, promoting protection and freedom for all workers.
