Description

The Südzucker AG is one of the leading companies in the food industry and in the traditional sugar sector. The sugar products are transported with an electric forklift to the trucks. The workers stand on a platform of the forklift, when driving. Each time the workers cross unavoidable bumps with the  forklift they are exposed to "spine shocks". Several drivers suffers from severe back problems. The company's OSH experts developped an easy solution to reduce the "spine shocks" by inserting a tube from a wheelbarrow under the platform. For this easy and innovative idea, the team was awarded with a special price by the German Social Accident Insurance for raw materials and chemicals industry - BG RCI.
