Le Centre européen de rééducation du sportif (CERS) de Capbreton, dans les Landes, accompagne des sportifs à la suite d’une opération. Le programme de rééducation qui leur est proposé vise bien entendu à permettre la récupération rapide de leurs capacités, mais également à prévenir la survenue de nouvelles blessures. Il intègre dans certains cas une composante psychologique en complément des exercices physiques. Les patients admis au CERS peuvent bénéficier de séances de course sur un tapis utilisé aussi pour simuler l’apesanteur et qui permet de réduire de façon variable le poids appliqué sur les jambes.

The European Sports Rehabilitation Center (CERS) in Capbreton, in the Landes region of France, assists athletes following surgery. The re-education program that is offered to them aims of course at allowing the rapid recovery of their capacities, but also at preventing the occurrence of new injuries. In some cases, it includes a psychological component in addition to the physical exercises.
Patients admitted to the CERS can benefit from running sessions on a mat that is also used to simulate weightlessness and that allows the weight applied to the legs to be reduced in a variable manner.
