Description

The Stoffenmanager is an electronic tool supporting the assessment of occupational exposure to and risk assessment from of chemicals, with the nanomodule focussing on nanoparticles, i.e. chemicals which are in at least 1 dimension smaller than 100 nm. It allows to qualitatively assess occupational health risks from inhalation exposure to Manufactured Nano Objects (MNO). An action plan with preventive measures can be developed.
You can use the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and / or product information sheets of your products to determine whether your company is working with nanoparticles.
Stoffenmanager Nano applies to nanoparticles  that are non-(water) soluble, deliberately produced (not released as unintentional by-product), and have a size smaller than 100 nm and/or the specific surface area of a nanopowder is that is larger than 60 m2/g. It concerns applies to single particles as well as agglomerates or aggregates.
