Chemicals in an ideal dairy

Visual resources

The slide show is part of the project 'Chemicals at the ideal dairy'. Based on many chemical accidents in the dairy industry, Mejeriindustriens Arbejdsmiljøudvalg (MIA) — the Dairy industry's Work Environment Council — set up a working group of company representatives to specify the requirements for an occupational safety and health counsellor who would be tasked with developing visual materials regarding chemicals in dairies, specifically their storage and handling, the use of protective equipment, repair and maintenance, ventilation, labelling and packaging, safety data sheets, instruction and supervision, and waste and disposal. This resulted in a presentation and a poster giving examples of the ideal handling of chemicals in a dairy. The presentation is intended for use in the management of occcupational safety and health and in MIA's work environment education. Attention is drawn to the fact that the pdf version of the presentation allows the user to jump directly to the area they want by clicking on the appropriate link.
