Live performance venues and production environments are associated with a wide range of occupational safety and health risks related to equipment, chemicals and activities. Working at heights, in confined spaces, exposure to excess noise, to chemical and biological hazards such as batting, foam rubber, spray adhesives, etc. are just few of the hazards live performance workers face on a daily basis.

There are already twelve Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tools released to help micro- and small enterprises in the sector ensure safe and healthy workplaces, all of them based on the tools developed by the sectoral social dialogue partners Pearle and eaea as well as FIM and FIA. Four more OiRA tools under development (in Spain and in Portugal). Their focus extends from the production side of live performance to the management of venues.
