Back to OSH newsExpert workshop on digital OSH monitoring systems

New OSH monitoring systems can track a wide variety of workplace risks using digital technologies to collect and analyse data. They help workers and OSH professionals manage these hazards, making workplaces safer.
However, it is important to understand how wearables, smart apps or drones can be classified, what their risks, challenges and opportunities are in different sectors and what their future looks like.
On the 8th of June 2022 EU-OSHA organised an online expert workshop on OSH Monitoring systems and their impact on safety and health, as part of EU-OSHA’s OSH Overview research project (2020 - 2023) which aims to provide in-depth information for policy, prevention and practice regarding the challenges and opportunities of digitalisation for OSH.
Access the workshop summary and presentations from a wide range of researchers, designers, employers’, and employees’ representatives who discussed and analysed in detail the present, and the future of new OSH monitoring systems.
