To highlight our current Healthy Workplaces Campaign on digitalisation, EU-OSHA’s director, William Cockburn, presented excerpts of the work the agency has developed on psychosocial risks, particularly in the digital age.
His intervention also emphasised a key element in the prevention and protection of the mental health of workers and citizens: the need to provide guidance and practical support to managers on how to change the culture and be able to talk about these issues.
The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, expressed his support to the strengthening of the European regulatory framework, by pointing to the usefulness of an instrument or a directive that increases the value of mental health in the workplace.
