The European Commission has released a ‘Manual for the management of chronic diseases and preventing the risk of acquiring disabilities.’ The document provides information about how to help people who have a chronic disease or a disability at work.

Published under the Disability Employment Package, the manual explains employers how to manage occupational safety and health (OSH) effectively. This includes ideas on how to make the workplace safer and more inclusive for employees by fostering active listening and communication.

The Disability Employment Package supports Member States in ensuring that people with disabilities enjoy social inclusion and economic autonomy through employment. EU-OSHA contributes to it by offering relevant information and resources.
