Cedefop identifies future trends and challenges on European labour market

EU Agency Cedefop has released a briefing note that provides comprehensive information on labour market trends and skills development across Europe in the near future.

The document, which identifies trends and challenges, indicates that work environments in the near future are expected to feature more autonomy, less routine, more use of ICT, reduced physical effort and increased social and intellectual tasks.

An ageing workforce and the over qualification and job polarisation are also presented as some of the key challenges of the next decade.
